We realize that there may be some unfamiliar terminology that we are using that might be confusing and hard to understand. So in this space we thought that we would define and explain them for you!
DEFINITION OF TERMS:
Biblical Counseling is to use the Word of God and Biblical tools of peacemaking with individuals or parties, to teach, encourage and admonish others with their issues. We also help conflict coach individual individuals to explore ways to resolve disputes personally and privately.
Mediation is an informal, voluntary process where one or more mediators meet with parties to help them work out their personal issues that leads to confession, repentance and forgiveness; and also to help others communicate and negotiate material issues effectively with each other, to assist them in finding a mutual, acceptable settlement of their differences. The process is conciliatory rather than adversarial and follows Biblical principles. Parties are free to make their own decisions as they are guided through the process by the mediators.
When parties are unable to resolve their dispute of material issues by mediation, we provide Arbitration which is a more formal process in which one or more arbitrators hear each side’s arguments and render a legally binding decision.
